On Sunday evening, November 6, 2022, the Wine Festival and the Fine Festival Basel 2022 came to an end. The two events, formerly known as the Basler Wein- und Feinmesse, could finally take place again after a 3-year break.

At the Wine Festival (October 29 to November 6), a total of 88 exhibitors offered around 3,000 wines from 18 different countries for tasting. At the Feinfestival (November 3-6) there were 42 exhibitors who made the full range of flavors and culinary experiences possible for the many visitors. In addition, the special EXPOLAT fair was held, in which 52 exhibitors presented Latin American culture.

MCH Swiss Exhibition looks back on the last days of festivals with great pleasure: Despite the notable exhibitor uncertainty in the planning phase and the smaller number of exhibitors compared to 2019, the Wine and Fine Festival was once again a place of Popular gathering for the connoisseur scene from northwestern Switzerland. Over the nine days of the festival, a total of 21,000 food and wine enthusiasts were invited. Although the total number of entries was lower than in 2019, the number of visitors per exhibitor was fortunately more than 11% higher than last year.

Masterclass at the Wine Festival:

On a total of 5 different days, the Basel Wine Festival offered keynote seminars. These were carried out by the festival partner  VINUM – Magazin für Weinkultur  and other proven experts. The fact that some of the seminars were full shows how great the interest is in new knowledge and background information on the different wines.

Feinfestival and Espectáculo Especial EXPOLAT:

The 4-day Feinfestival Basel 2022 was heavily influenced by local vendors. Whether it’s distilled spirits from the city’s distillery, dairy and meat products from the region, or beers from nearby Basel, northwestern Swiss producers cleverly put themselves in the spotlight. But the other regions of Switzerland were also represented. With Bernese distillates, beers from the Zurich area or Vaud cheeses, they complete the wide range on offer. At the EXPOLAT special fair, 52 exhibitors presented Latin American culture, its products and country-specific dishes.
